Sangria, red and white wines flowed as endless samples of oysters, jumbo shrimp and assorted thin crust pizza was on the offering for the estimated 200+ people who showed up at the grand opening for downtown Ansonia’s newest restaurant, Relish Wine Bar & Grill.
Mayor David Cassetti, Senator George Logan and 6th Ward Alderman Josh Shuart, 2nd Ward Alderman Lorie Vaccaro and Valley Chamber President Bill Purcell offered words of continued success to owners Mario Masis, Coy Masis and Lisa Heulises on their maiden restaurant voyage.
With a line outside the door spilling onto downtown sidewalks, customers inside the 314 Main St (formerly LuLu Pazzo) location checked out the menu featuring pan seared sea bass, seafood mixed grill, prime ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, grilled octopus and assorted stone pie pizzas.
Welcome to the neighborhood Relish! Ansonia’s downtown dining destination attraction continues to grow and flourish with another new entry coming to upper Main St by year’s end. Stay tuned!
