“We welcome Buck Scientific Instruments, LLC from Norwalk to downtown Ansonia. This high tech manufacturer brings 10 new jobs with them. My staff and I have been pleased to work with Eric Anderson as the company transitions to their new home.” Said Mayor Cassetti.
A scientific instrument firm based in Norwalk has acquired a commercial property in Ansonia, previously occupied by a well-established local lighting business, with plans to relocate there.
Eric Anderson, who also holds the position of CEO at Buck Scientific Instruments LLC, leads the company in manufacturing a variety of scientific instruments. These include atomic absorption spectrometers, microwave digestion systems, and gas chromatographs, catering to over 10,000 clients across industries such as industrial, environmental, quality control, mining, plating, and education in over 40 countries. This information is detailed on the company’s website.
The newly acquired Ansonia building, encompassing 9,300 square feet, boasts a combination of a front showroom or retail area, office spaces, and a warehouse equipped with truck bays. According to Stephen J. Hodson from Hodson Realty Inc., based in Trumbull, the choice of this building was driven by Anderson’s need for a larger operational space. Its advantageous location near Route 8 and proximity to various services like restaurants, banks, and other amenities made it a perfect match. The site was formerly occupied by Valley Lighting and Home Decor center, which has since moved to a more expansive location on Chestnut Street.
